Golden glow of the fire, warming a peaceful home
Happy family gathered round, basking in the glow
Yellow flames leap and dance, flickering in the grate
Such a lovely fantasy, a dream to erase the pain
Red fires of suffering and sorrow; red hot flames
Burning away childish dreams, again and again
Crimson red flames, full of agony and dark fear
Such an ugly reality, want to run so far from here
Blue flames of depression, burning away the will
Nothing seems to matter; my heart is frozen and still
Ice blue fire of nothingness, no warmth in the void
Such a dead existence here; no life, no love, no joy
A tiny flame was burning in me, all through the years
A royal purple flame to extinguish the fires of fear
Didn’t know what it was, kept fanning the small flame
Such a warm embrace, when the Lord’s Spirit came
White-hot flame of righteousness burns in me now
Holy fire to help the broken ones I see all around
I delight myself in Jesus; He is my deepest desire
He’s set my heart aflame with all the colors of fire
